Meet Alice Park, CNP

Alice

“Let food be thy medicine.”

Ancient Wisdom Meets Modern Science

Alice grew up eating whole-foods mostly grown and prepared by her parents and grandparents. One of her early memories include shucking oysters on the mud beach while her grandpa fished, assisting her father butcher a chicken raised in their backyard, sampling kimchi by her mother’s side as she made batches for the winter and checking with her grandmother on how well garlic was drying in the sun before taking it to the local mill.

After coming to Canada and discovering the Standard American Diet (also known as SAD ironically), health issues started to arise and unfortunately, like many, she felt defeated by the symptom-masking approach of the medical doctors. In 2015, she pursued education in holistic nutrition to understand human health through the lens of modern science as well as ancient wisdom as Hippocrates so eloquently worded: let food be thy medicine and let medicine be thy food.
